In Sight - In Touch - In Mind

Take a walk in the gardens at the Hill of The O’Neill.  Use your

five senses to experience the habitat of this ancient, historical site:

listen to the birdsong; look at the shapes of the clouds; smell the

flowers; touch the bark of the trees; taste a raindrop. Then record

your experiences in the form of a poem or a longer piece of


This programme is facilitated by Mid Ulster District Council's Biodiversity and Education Officers and is suitable for Key Stage 2/3 pupils.  One two hour session is held each day.

  • £2 per pupil/£50 per class of up to 30 pupils
