Monday 23rd - Thursday 26th January 2017

The Victorian Bank Manager's Children

This is a living history heritage education programme which uses the Victorian past of Ranfurly House as its focus.

The year is 1870, the Manager of the Dungannon branch of the Belfast Banking Company is Mr Pentland, and the visiting pupils are the friends of Mr Pentland's daughters, Eliza and Louise.

They will meet Miss Acheson, the governess to Eliza and Louise, who will take them on a guided tour of the building (now known as Ranfurly House) while pointing out the Victorian features of this bank.  She will then teach them in a Victorian classroom.

There will be two one hour living history sessions each day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.  This event is suitable for KS2 pupils.
